HE WAKA HOURUA PARTNERS

He Waka Hourua is a double-hulled voyaging canoe. In partnership with PANNZ our Waka Hourua partners provide key infrastructure to collectively help our industry achieve smooth sailing on its journey.


  • Creative New Zealand (Arts Council of New Zealand Toi Aotearoa) encourages, promotes and supports the arts in Aotearoa for the benefit of all New Zealanders. As our core funder Creative NZ supports the delivery of the annual Arts Market, our National Touring Programme, and the Festivals Commissioning and Presentation Fund. In addition, the CNZ International Programme supports the showcasing of work at the Arts Market that is ready for the world stage to an international audience.

     


  • Auckland Live  is a leader in performing arts, culture, entertainment, and events in Auckland Tāmaki Makaurau, and is Aotearoa New Zealand’s largest performing arts platform. This long-standing venue partnership has seen the annual PANNZ Arts Market return to Auckland Live's venues time and time again.

     


  • Te Ahurei Toi o Tāmaki / Auckland Arts Festival (AAF) is a melting pot of shared experiences, whakaaro, live entertainment and kōrero taking place from 6-23 March 2025. AAF has supported PANNZ for many years and encourages delegates to stay on in Auckland after the Market to enjoy their programme of NZ works featuring performances from world-class local artists.

     

  • The Acorn Foundation through The Fame Trust has developed a valuable partnership with PANNZ over the years. Thanks to these charitable organisations PANNZ is able to to deliver The FAME Mid-Career Awards each year, honouring and supporting outstanding talent through sizable cash gifts to creative makers in the performing arts community of Aotearoa.

     

     


NGĀ PATAKA PARTNERSHIPS

Our Pataka partners connect to the important contributions that each pataka (storehouse of food) can provide for each other to develop a rich relationship that nourishes the wider community via the hākari (feast) that is mustered by this sharing of resources at the PANNZ Arts Market.


  • Auckland Council
    acknowledges that arts and culture are fundamental to quality of life in Auckland. The Council’s Community Committee sees the value in partnering with PANNZ to help Auckland become the world’s most liveable city and so they are proud funders of the PANNZ Arts Market in 2026.

  • British Council, We support peace and prosperity by building connections, understanding and trust between people in the UK and countries worldwide.


  • Feral Arts 
    have been an essential partner over the years, enabling PANNZ to make the annual Arts Market digital via the Arts Front Platform. This software powers the profiles, registration and resources that come out of the Arts Market.

     

  • Asia New Zealand Foundation partners with PANNZ to host presenters from Asia at the annual Arts Market. Helping local practitioners build connections and access presenting opportunities in Asia.

     


TE WAKA HUIA PARTNERS

Te Waka Huia is one of the most treasured carved taonga gifted to a partner, and holds the most precious of taonga within. These unique treasures, and the binding partnership through such offerings provide PANNZ strong collective relationships for the years ahead.


  • New Zealand Music Commission promotes music from New Zealand and supports the growth of New Zealand music businesses – both culturally and economically, at home and abroad. They return in 2025 to partner with PANNZ for the music showcase featured in the Arts Market.

     

  • Auckland Theatre Company (ATC) nurtures new writing by NZ playwrights and invests in commissions and world premieres every year. This commitment to the New Zealand theatre vernacular remains the backbone of the Company’s artistic work. ATC presents an annual season of productions, runs participation programmes in education and youth arts and a youth company year round. As an Industry Partner ATC provides office space to the PANNZ team during the Arts Market planning, and gives our delegates access to their works on stage during the event.
